National Small Business Week is approaching! Every year since 1963, the President of the United States has issued a proclamation announcing National Small Business Week, which recognizes the critical contributions of America’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. This section of the American workforce alone creates about two out of every three new jobs in the U.S. each year and helps drive America’s global competitiveness and innovative spirit.
Last year, CORT celebrated Small Business Week by bringing a community of professionals together on Twitter to explore their experiences with coworking spaces. This May, we’re hosting another Small Business Week Twitter Chat that will provide insights on how small businesses can scale smartly.
Launching a business is no easy feat and scaling it can be even harder. It starts with setting the proper goals and having a strategic plan. But as a small business owner, how do you know when it’s time to take the leap and expand? And when you do, how should you find the best resources to help you scale successfully?
We’ve partnered with some amazing experts and entrepreneurs for this year’s Small Business Week Twitter Chat. They’ll share their wins and losses, experiences, and advice to help aspiring entrepreneurs scale in a smart and efficient way that makes sense for their business needs and goals. Co-hosts include:
- Brian Moran, founder of SmallBusinessEdge.com and committed to helping entrepreneurs & marketers navigate the small-to-midsize business marketplace.
- Allison Ballard, Executive Director of Tapdn – a new IoT platform that improves the workplace by acquiring and analyzing real-time data.
- Michelle Guilbeau, columnist and radio host for CBS Small Business Pulse
Join us on Twitter (@CORTFurniture) and share how you’ve scaled your small business or ask the questions you have about doing so. We’ll be chatting on Wednesday, May 2 at 1:00 p.m. CT using #WorkspacesChat. See you there!
