The Beacon Supports Houston Community Post-Harvey

CORT is proud to support of The Beacon, a non-profit organization that serves the Houston homeless community through daily services, civil legal aid, counseling and mentoring, and access to housing.

Following the devastation of Hurricane Harvey, The Beacon has deepened its commitment to the Houston community by opening its doors to help and house those displaced by the storm. The Beacon opened seven days a week, providing shelter and two meals per day to community members in need.

“When people in Houston fall on hard times, The Beacon is the first place they go,” said Todd Shell, Regional Manager at CORT. “They make each person a priority. CORT is proud to have friends like The Beacon, which is a great resource for flood victims for meals and services including housing and legal guidance.”
