CORT’s Furniture Rental and Clearance Center in Raleigh, North Carolina, recently collected food donations for Housing for New Hope to help those in need. Housing for New Hope filled a moving truck with food and household items to stock the pantries of people in the Triangle region of North Carolina that are transitioning from homelessness into stable housing.
CORT’s employees and the local community all pitched in to make this food drive a success. CORT encouraged their shoppers to come into their clearance center and donate canned food for the cause. Customers who participated in the food drive received 10 percent off of their clearance center purchases!
“The Housing for New Hope food drive was another great opportunity for CORT to make a significant impact in the lives of the people living in our local communities,” said Sarah Kingan, retail sales manager, CORT. “The food drive was a great success, and we have our employees, customers and the Triangle community to thank for that.”
After a few weeks of collecting donations, CORT delivered two large boxes of food and a cash donation to Housing for New Hope! Thanks to all CORT Raleigh customers who played a key role in supporting this community event!
