J.T. Marcum Promoted to Corporate Vice President

CORT, the nation’s leading provider of furniture rental and transition services, has announced the promotion of Joseph “J.T.” Marcum to Corporate Vice President. In his new role, J.T. will be responsible for Supply Chain, Merchandising, Housewares, New Business Strategy, and continue his involvement in other aspects of CORT’s business as needed. 

“J.T. has made a significant impact driving both strategy and process since he started in 2019, his contributions as we navigated COVID 19 were invaluable,” said Mike Davis, President, and Chief Operating Officer at CORT. “In his new role, J.T. will have the opportunity to lead various teams and guide our vision in critical segments of our business.  I have no doubt that, with his strategic vision, J.T. will continue to create positive change for our people and our customers for years to come.” 

J.T. started at CORT in 2019 as Vice President, Business Strategy. He spent most of his professional career in various senior roles within the transportation, 3rd party logistics, and supply chain industries leading and developing people and business units and driving new revenue opportunities. Prior to joining CORT, he was the Vice President of Account Management at Lineage Logistics in the Dallas, Texas area.  

Throughout his career, J.T. has received several awards, including the President’s Sales Champion Award at Holland, three Quarterly Leader Awards at Con-Way Freight, and Rookie of the Year at CEVA Logistics. In addition to J.T.’s accomplishments within these industries, he holds two United States Patents for developing a protective suit used in the Nuclear Decommissioning and Decontamination industry.

J.T. is a graduate of Ball State University where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, in which he remains active as an alumni volunteer. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife Kristin, playing golf, watching live music, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
