CORT, the nation’s leading provider of furniture rental and transition services, has announced the retirement of Brian Stahl, effective July 30, 2021. Brian currently serves as Executive Vice President and has been responsible for the Housewares, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Real Estate, and Roomservice (UK) verticals.
Brian started in the industry with Aaron Rents in 1981 as a Manager Trainee in Beltsville, Maryland; over the following 19 years, he moved up within the organization to President of the rent-to-rent division. Brian came to CORT in 2001 as Area Vice President over the Washington, D.C. district. After successfully running the district for five years, Brian was promoted to Service Center 1 Vice President, and in 2014, was promoted to Executive Vice President over 17 districts.
“Brian has left a legacy any of us would be proud of, especially in the businesses that he led and the people he mentored and developed over the years, many of which now hold senior leadership roles in the company,” said Mike Davis, President, and Chief Operating Officer at CORT. “Please join me in recognizing and thanking Brian for his leadership, his relentless pursuit of always providing the perfect customer experience, and his numerous contributions to our company over the last 20 years. We wish him good health and a relaxing retirement with his wife Teresa, their two sons, and their grandchild.”
As a result of Brian’s retirement, Joseph “JT” Marcum, Vice President Development, is being promoted to Corporate Vice President, effective July 6.
