For the third time, CORT has furnished a home for a veteran and his family on the Military Makeover edition of Designing Spaces airing on Lifetime®, a signature women-focused home improvement show that travels all over the country to bring viewers innovative home remodeling, home decorating and home design ideas. Episode one aired on May 19 at 7:00 a.m. (ET/PT) on Lifetime®. The two other episodes will air May 26 (re-air June 2) and June 9 (re-air June 16).
Marine Corps Lance Corporal (LCpl) Devin H. Kyle was in Afghanistan in 2013 when he received a life-threatening injury to his right thigh. Now, over two years later and after multiple surgeries, he has recovered most of the use of his leg, but metal fragments remain because they cannot be safely removed without causing additional damage. LCpl Kyle deals with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), but stays positive for his wife, Joanna, and three-year-old daughter, Raelynn. Thanks to Designing Spaces and CORT, the Kyle’s home in Pinellas Park, Florida, is fully furnished, complete with sofas, beds, wall décor, accessories and lighting.
This is the sixth time CORT has partnered with Designing Spaces, previously decorating a newlywed couple’s new home, a student’s first apartment, a relocation professional’s apartment, and furnishing the home of two other veterans.
