CORT Unveils Innovative New Showroom in New York City

CORT Business Services, a Berkshire Hathaway company, today announced the grand opening of its new furniture rental showroom in New York City. The location and design of this showroom optimally showcases CORT’s product lines and offers a more contemporary and customer-friendly shopping environment. A public open house will be held on Thursday, October 17 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Relocating from its previous location on Third Ave., the new showroom is on the fifth floor of the premiere 2 Grand Central Tower, adjacent to Manhattan’s famous Grand Central Terminal. The loft-style environment features an open feel with downtown flair, raw material finishes, an exposed concrete floor, birds-eye wood paneling and built-in cabinetry throughout the showroom, offering a unique textural design element to the new space.

“The entire CORT team is excited to open the doors to our new showroom and share a unique furniture selection and rental experience with our customers,” said Tom Beyer, area manager for CORT. “We are fortunate to be in a great building in a high-traffic area that has been modernized to provide a high-tech facility to its tenants and visitors. This new space fits perfectly into CORT’s design and vision.”

The new showroom also features a large, cutting-edge conference area with innovative technology that can be used by many of CORTs customers and business partners for training sessions, meetings and more! As customers meander through the space they will find product packages that include furniture, upholstery, lighting, accent pieces and housewares. CORT has even made the sale process easier by installing iPad technology at closing stations throughout the showroom.

“CORT has been a solutions and transition services provider for the last 40 years,” said Ann Sennewald, vice president of merchandising for CORT. “The design of the New York showroom illustrates the brand transformation that CORT is currently undergoing. From the new showroom design, to new product offerings and the integration of technology into our service process, CORT’s innovative and stylish brand is reflected throughout the space. We believe customers will love visiting our new and remodeled locations and they will certainly find the furniture selection process easy and enjoyable,” added Sennewald.

CORT’s showroom is located at 2 Grand Central Tower, 140 East 45th Street in New York City. For more information and store hours, visit www.CORT.com.
