Paul LEVY co-founded Moduloop in 2020 as a response to the demolition waste streams resulting from the quick cycle obsolescence of office fit out, especially due to regularly changing tenancies in office buildings. At the end of the lease, the tenant must demolish expensive fit out work which will invariably be far from the end of its working life in order to return the office space to the landlord.
Moduloop proposes to change this model by engaging with landlords and equipment manufacturers to work together to guarantee an optimum lifespan for the fit out works and associated products. This will be achievable by using equipment designed to adapt to the different needs of tenants, thus reducing the amount of material landfills and the CO2 footprint of buildings.
