Decorating Your Home With Color

If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to add some new style to your home, you’ll definitely want to look into incorporating color. Home furniture rental, a few coats of paint, or just a couple new accessories are all great ways to incorporate new shades.

Emerald

This vibrant green hue is playful yet dignified and would look great in many spaces with many styles. If you’re feeling daring, an emerald accent wall would beautifully complement white furniture in your living room. For the more moderate style, emerald glass – in the form of candleholders, picture frames, and more – makes a lovely statement and adds a glamorous, jewel-toned touch especially well-suited to the dining room.

Aloe

Since Aloe, a soft green with hints of cool blue, is a paler color, you might feel inclined to paint more than a single wall in the shade. Again, this color looks great with white home furniture (rental is a great option if your current pieces are outdated) but it also works with black and a variety of grays. Looking for something a little more lively? A shelf of succulents would be an excellent accessory in any sunny room.

Lemon Sorbet

Speaking of sunny, lemon sorbet is a pale, buttery yellow that serves as a good transitional tone between the light pastels and saturated tones that are both currently popular but can sometimes clash. This uplifting color would be perfect for brightening up the walls of a dark, dated bedroom or for adding a pop of yellow to your living room with home furniture.
